Whenever I see these stats it always amazes me that NY state has such a huge population, but so few recruits. Look, NY has the same number as Kentucky. That's just crazy.

Strangely enough if you look up the number of NFL players by State of birth rather than where they graduated, NY is #7 overall.

No idea what State/States all the New York born FB players moved to before HS.

take the same list for basketball - and you'll see where all their football players are.

i'm more surprised about south dakota. I figured there would be some mean a$$ linemen coming out of the dakotas.

 
For those who criticize our recruiting have to keep in mind that we are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to in-state recruits.

 
@Huskers twitter account posted some interesting tidbits today. This is the 12th consecutive year that NU has pulled at least one Texas recruit and the 14th consecutive year of at least one recruit from California.

tons of city kids that aren't playing football. basketball is king in NYC.
