Never heard his name before tonight. Showed up to play in a huge way.

Excellent game, Mr. Gomes. Now people have expectations of you. :)

 
I agree, shyndy. He seemed promising when he came over from JUCO, but who knows how a guy will react when the game starts.

Thorell started tonight, but Gomes may have found himself a permanent role in the DIME package.

 
Hell...had to look up his name on the roster. His dreads were covering the name on the back of his jersey. All I could ever see was the 'ES'. Thought he was a JONES.

I know. His name was listed in one game already. And for what? Gaaarh. Can't we get him a Sean Fisher, Cameron Meredith type deal. Medical redshirt? >___<

I mean, what's the story here. Talk about a wasted redshirt otherwise.

 
Glad Marvin finally made the change that needed to be made. He got West off the field and look what happens. Dennard and Gomes show off some real playmaking skills.

If West wants to be a FS, try him out there. But as far as I'm concerned with one year left (after this one) he really has no hope of seeing the field over the guys we have now.

great game he played. he's definetly up there. i've been tracking this guy since we recruited him last year and he really likes to make plays on the ball. im glad to see this and him flying all around the ball like he did tonight!

I was absolutely ecstatic to hear his name called because, to be honest, I didn't get into his hype at all. I'm not even sure there was any hype, now that I think about it. But, we need guys like him, who make doubters out of me (and the opponent), who just make the plays when they are on the field despite the preconceived notions of ability.
