Gomes deserves to start. He made several big plays. I don't know how Pelini could possibly start West over Gomes after last night's performance.

he was the culprit on one of their bigger pass plays for miz last night if I recall correctly.

BUT, he did show the ability to make a big play, he read that play from the get go. Prince had a couple nice plays in coverage as well...

It's nice to see guys who can MAKE plays back there, bring out the blackshirts.

 
It was great concentration on his part to even hold on to that ball given how low of a pass it was. He played a great game and I loved how our guys were flying all over the field.

 
Someone tell me what happened with West. I didn't hear his name once. To be quite honest, I was so wrapped up watching the defensive line, I didn't notice anything else. Info please.

West lost his job to Dennard I believe.

Last night was the best corner back play I've seen for N in years. Remember the play in the first quarter where MU went deep down the sideline and Prince was running with the receiver AND LOOKING BACK FOR THE BALL!!!

It brought a tear to my eye.

:yeah It was a weird feeling to have confidence that those guys were covered. Also great plays on the short passes across the middle. Even when they did complete them, our LBs were tackling them immediately.
