I just threw Alberts out there as an interesting thought, beins he already has multiple years of experience as an AD, at a school withing the UN system nonetheless, and he has also gained experience in drastic changes with UNO's move to D1 and the gutting of the football and wrestling programs. His experience may be priceless.

People who have the power to make these kinds of decisions do not typically ask the opinion of people lower on the chain of command for their input. Maybe they should, maybe they shouldn't...they just usually don't.

this is different. bo is the figurehead of husker football, and husker football is the face of the university. bo's stock may have slipped a bit recently have the hype we made in creating him as an instant savior, but he is an important person to keep happy. second to perlman at the institution.

If I am correct, I could have sworn that Dr. Tom has already done an interview stating that they already have a replacement if anything does happen to him. I think this was last year. I seen the post with the link in this forum.
