DPE Working to Get Back to Old Form

I remember that either Sam McKewon or Mike'l Severe thought that DPE should have redshirted in 2016, so he could have a full-year to recover from his injuries from 2015. Looking back on it now, it might have been the thing to do, since last year wasn't very productive for DPE.

I feel like there is a tell when DPE is getting the ball on a jet sweep. Teams don't react the way they do when someone else gets a jet sweep the way they do when he actually gets it. Even when it's just a fake to him they don't react. As soon as he has the ball it's like stink on sh#t the way teams cover it.

No. He played in too many games in both his Freshman and Sophomore years to get a 6th year.

Didn't use a redshirt so it would be a 5th season, but my understanding is that the point still stands. He played too many games in his Sophomore year to qualify.

But...like you said....that wouldn't be a "medical redshirt". To use his regular redshirt year, he would need to sit out 2017 and then play in 2018.

Doesn't sound like that's going to happen.
