Drew Brown

Drew will be fine this year. He has a great work ethic and with the help of the special teams coach and his brother, he will only continue to get better. Can't wait to see him on the field for 3 more years.

 
Now that he actually has a coach devoted to him and will actually get coached up...

Too bad we didn't give our kickers a few more shots during the Spring Game. Drew hit the only FG attempted, a 36 yarder.

The Spring Game would be a good time for a kicker contest. We could have blockers and guys on the field trying to block the kick, just like game time conditions. Give each kicker four or five shots, varying the distance with each attempt.

 
It's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure how most of the fans would take it. If it took much time at all, it would seem most would get bored rather fast.

Bring the kickers out early and let them compete and put on a show.

That's what I was thinking. And you could assemble teams from guys down on the depth chart that might not see much action yet.

tOSU had a couple of contests at halftime--a long ball passing contest among their QBs, and a fastest Buckeye race. The Buckeye crowds loved it.
