Democrats turn the tables in Washington

I'm not sure Democrats are the answer, but anything has got to be better than what's happening now..change is needed.

I hope the newly elected officials take a page from Obamo, Schwartzenager and Ben Nelson and start working together.

Hopefully this will send a message that whether one is DEM or REP, the president needs oversight. The REPs failed (I think) for this very reason. This GOP split the country in half at a time when he should have brought them together, He was allowed to do this by a republican congress that spoke for the leaders of the party, not the American people. I guess, in a way, he has brought them more together (just not in the way he had imagined). VOTE ISSUE, NOT PARTY!!

I think that the last six years have proven one thing - regardless of the party, the country functions poorly when only one party is in control.

Well it seems to me the democrats won without presenting an agenda. They won both houses of congress by simply not being republicans. This says a lot about what the american people thin about how Bush has taken the US down the wrong path.
