I just wanted to give some props to Erickson for stepping up a making a big catch on that final drive. With the injury to Swift, he was forced to see some action on pass plays and made a big one along the sideline. Hopefully the coaches feel more confortable with him to use him on some passing downs and not just put him in there to do the crackback block on the defensive end on the toss sweep plays.

Yea, he deserves some props. He's normally relegated to blocking, which was why I was surprised to see him catch the ball.

The TV commentators sounded pretty surprised to see him, too.

"Pass is complete to . . . Dan Erickson??!"

To bad he had that terrible late hit on the 3rd possesion of the game, but we still scored
