ESPN NationWide

All-Conference
Did anyone else catch the segment on the morning SportsCenter called "ESPN NationWide" where it went around a couple cities in the nation and talked about some of their big stories. Well if you didn't it went like this.

- NY to talk about the struggling Yankees

- Atlanta to talk about Andrew Jones and the Braves future

- Colorado to talk about the Rockies recent surge

and then they dropped this bomb out of no where...

- Lincoln, NE to talk about Sam Keller and how well he has adjusted to BC's offense, that he's the best pure QB we've ever had, and our chances at making a run at the title.

I sure hope he can live up to this hype because we're getting more national attention from a QB who hasn't played a down here than we've got combined in the last 5 years from any other player.

If its founded or not doesnt really matter, this kind of stuff is great publicity for NU to reach possible recruits and just keep the name Huskers in their ear as much as possible......."market saturation"

I like how everyone on this board thinks of ESPN as an entity with it's own thoughts, instead of a company with individual people running it. ESPN does not have a bias against the Huskers. Might many of the individual sportscasters and commentators? Most likely, but ESPN doesn't have a list that people put in their cubicles at work with teams to praise and shun.

In reallity you are right, but so many people like to get on USC's nuts and talk about how f'ing great they are that there is usually some delusion that they are almost unbeatable unless they do it to themselves. And ESPN is still a buisnes....anouncers have to serve thier clients by appealing to most of them...or they will be replaced.
