Evans and the NW game - Fitzgerald and Our DBs

I know that Ciante has his own thread, but thought this was worthy of mention. In the 3rd, with his receiver blanketed the pass sailed high and out of bounds. Fitzgerald, the NW coach was screaming for a hold by Evans, Evans looks at the sidelines and right at the coach says "I played the ball". Fitzgerald then throws out his hand to Ciante for a high five and Evans obliges telling the media, "I couldn't leave him hanging'! Great story. Good stuff from Fitz as well.

Whole article hear:

That's pretty cool, Fitzgerald knew he was reaching with wanting a P.I. call on that and knew Ciante played one helluva game. Great work Ciante, keep it up!

I thought I saw Fitz go over and help Kenny B up after he was hit late out of bounds. It could have been another coach but Fitz is cool. I have a lot of respect for him and what he is doing at NW.

I believe it was Fitz. I remember seeing him do that. Pure class shown by Fitz as well.

Fitz is a great coach and an all around great guy. Who else gives their players a scheduled nap and high fives the opponent, while helping the opponent off the ground off a late hit? :)

I remember this exact play and Fitz trying to get the call. I wish we had a video or photo of the high-five.

Rewatching the first half it appeared that SJB had some not so happy words directed towards the sideline after shutting down Colter on a deep ball. Then the same series, I believe, he broke up another pass and clearly pointed to Fitzgerald as if he was calling him out

*edit* Edited my post since it was merged, thanks mods.

Wasn't there some thread or something about this team being to uptight? And here Ciante is saying he's confident and playing fast and loose now...
