He had the money.
The kids in and around his hometown have the need.
“Why not do this? I could be wasting the money away doing other things. ... That’s not doing anything,” said Washington, a Bayshore graduate and former first-round pick of the Oakland Raiders who spent the past three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
