Fact is: "NU might be good at football"...Truth is: "NCAA quit playing football"

What happens if Ameer gets caught up at the goal line and that player makes the play. Is he still "out of the play"? It was NOT a block in the back!

Putting myself in the refs shoes; I probably wouldn't have made that call.

Putting myself in Burtch's shoes; I probably wouldn't have made that, uh, block.

When I saw the play. I was thinking the same thing, there was no reason to make the block. I was watching KB, hoping he wouldn't draw a penalty.

If I am the ref I don't make that call.

If I am Burtch I make that block.

He didn't lead with the crown of his head, he didn't hit a defenseless player, and he didn't hit him in the name of the jersey.

i just miss the days when penalties made sense. when they served a purpose. now it is to penalize anything the refs think is too much or unnecessary, or something.

I was against the targeting rule because of this. An abundance of judgement calls leads to an abundance of questionable calls. I like bowling. The refs never make a bad call.
