Fair Catch Interference?

I don't know if this has already been talked about but why was a flag not thrown when rex called fair catch and got ran into?

This one was really obvious. The crowd went nuts, then they called a facemask on CU about 3 plays later that was not a facemask from what i could tell as a make up call. Then the flag on Dennard for PI the possession after that was garbage. I think after the crowd went nuts on those two calls you saw them get alot more careful about what they were doing, hence the flag pickups. I honestly think they had it in their mind to pull a screw job, but thought twice after realizing what kind of position they were in.

We were wondering if he even called for a fair catch. On the big tron at the game with the replay, we didn't see Rex signal for it.

The thing that was so messed up about it was the ref was looking right at the play not even like 3ft away from it. Heres to a fairly called game in the Championship game but i think we will be going up against more then the other team next weekend :(

That really didn't make any sense, because Rex didn't go down on the hit, and if he didn't call a fair catch he could have run it. I didn't see him actually wave his arms, but oh well. It felt good to walk out of the stadium without thinking we'd been screwed by the zebras.

Totally agree with you dergi about the black/white, but knew that we wouldn't have the same staff as last week and would be okay in that aspect.

Was wondering alittle if they wanted Mizzou to go to the Big 12 or not though.

Rex called for a fair catch. The only possibilities I see are that the ref thought it was incidental contact since there was no harm, or the defender was blocked into Rex. Bad call, but wasn't going to be a game changer no matter what.

ya if Rex would have got destroyed I would be all for throwing the flag but from the looks at of it kind of looked incidental. I don't have a whole lot of trouble on that one. didn't change the game. it was contact but oh well.

the face mask call was correct to a point the defender didn't grab his face mask per se but he reached up under the back of the helmet and pulled rex down from that. So that's the face mask call.
