I think it might have to do with trying to minimize some of the injuries as well

Coach Riley called me a couple of weeks ago and asked me my thoughts on practicing on Monday's. I told him that I thought the guys needed the extra day of rest. It would be a good day for film study. Sounds like he listened. LMAO

Having Monday off will also enable the coaches another day to devise the game plan for the next week's game.
I think it's typical for teams to have 2 days off after a game, besides film study.
