@FauxPelini reveals his true identity. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

This is far less "out" than the thread title would have us believe.

And I'm not going to stop following Faux. Dude's still gold.

Hardly revealing his identity. Nothing revealing in there that hadn't already been known about the guy except his first name, which is actually his middle name.

I didn't want to know that he was a 46 year old lawyer from Chicago. I'd rather imagine him as some struggling comedy writer who lives in a small studio apartment in downtown lincoln or Dundee Omaha.

Somebody told me a couple of months ago that a local radio station did an interview with FauxPelini and that it was a lawyer from Chicago, so, I actually already thought this was common knowledge to many.

I actually know him.

Well...actually, I know a couple of guys named Michael. And I had to talk to my ex-wife's divorce lawyer once. So yeah. I know him.

For any sports fan, Twitter is the best way to armchair quarterback. You and your followers can share real-time reactions that can take the form of pithy one-liners. In fact, given the 140-character limit, the social medium is all one-liners.
Blasphemy.

The pedestal that faux is on (especially around here) is pretty annoying to me. Its as if people think he is the only person to ever parody a celebrity. Its some random dude who has too much time on his hands. Big whoop.

Which of these don't belong in the same sentence... Bo, Suh, & The Pope? Interesting bucket list.. Nebraska football really is a religion for some!

Too much time on his hands? How much time does it take to send out random tweets a few times a week to various folks. I guarantee-GUARANTEE-you use more time in a day reading and commenting on this board than he uses on his Faux twitter account in a week.

i always assumed it was a younger guy. maybe someone who just graduated from unl and was a sports blogger.

i appreciate that guy because he really created a voice for his faux pelini. it is pretty good writing and one of the better uses of twitter.

Thanks for saying this first, Mr. A.

There are plenty of parody accounts, but not all are created equal.

He is really good at it. Considered by many even outside the sphere of Nebraska to be the best sports parody account out there.
