I think we are renting the box on the first base side for the double header on Saturday. If anyone is traveling thru for Mardi Gra(its the following Tuesday), or coming for the game, give me a pm and we would love to have you at our Husker party! Its going to be blast and probably warm.

damn. i'd love to be there.. unfortunately can't afford to drive down there and miss work for a weekend. i'm pumped for the start of the year though!

 
So I lived in Baton Rouge for about 5 months, so my Louisiana tips for you are such:

1) If you meet a real Cajun, like those from Houma, good luck with English.

2) Make a trip to New Orleans and get some beignets at Cafe du Monde, its only around a 2 hour drive from Lafayette.

3)Get updated on your vaccinations before you step foot in Lafayette, never know what kind of diseases might be roaming around :lol:

4) But really Louisianans are very hospitable and enjoy your time there, hit up some tailgates, Cajuns have the best tailgate food I have ever come across.

 
I have lived in New Iberia for eight years. New Iberia makes Lafayette look like the capital of health and wellness.
