Fightin' Erstad's vs Iowa

This series loss hurts, but at least they weren't swept?

What's frustrating about this series loss is that the team had all sorts of momentum...and then it goes for naught.

The only consistent thing through Erstad's tenure are his teams' inconsistencies through the season--there's been an ebb and flow, and we never can get a team that consistently plays good baseball and consistently beats the teams they should (e.g. Iowa). Either the team is riding a high and they're world-beaters (e.g. Indiana series in B1G Tourney a couple of years ago) or they hit a low so deep that you just have to shake your head and wonder if someone drugged the team's Powerade (e.g. series losses to Northwestern).

It's a head scratcher, to say the least.

Baseball is a sport where you can't look at one game but I understand where you are coming from. I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop, hopefully this is the year where we put the two loses behind us and beat Creighton tomorrow and at least win the series this weekend against Minnesota.
