Fishing NE South Dakota

Bought a place on smaller lake in NE South Dakota late last fall. Living 6 hours away,  I am just beginning to explore the area lakes. Our place is located near numerous lakes. I recreational fish. Love trolling for Northern, but enjoy catching anything. If anyone is familiar with this part of the state and has suggestions I would appreciate the advice.

 
I fish bigstone a few times a year, Waubay usually in the winter, I guess I'm not sure what lake you are wanting info on, they each have their own personality. I'd start with the south Dakota fishing maps book ,great source of information, also check the local bait shops Facebook posts for what's going on. 

 
We are near Sisseton.  Marshall County. Have fished Waubay in winter also (only once) . We are 30 miles North of there. Red Iron lake. Near Clear, Buffalo,  etc.
