All-American
So in order to distract ourselves from studying and to get money for . . . notebooks and mechanical pencils and whatnot . . . lots of college students get part-time jobs. I've been working at a store in the mall since September.
Anyway, I'm not digging that so much and so I'm applying at a few other places. I applied at Target today because I've worked there before when I lived in Omaha and really liked it. However, the only position they had an opening for was Assets Protection, which is Target's security.
Here's a happy Assets Protector watching the security cameras (photo courtesy of Google Images):
The differences between this smiling young lady and I, at least from the work perspective, is that I'd wear an intimidating dark blue uniform and stand out by the doors, giving young hoodlums the eye as they came in the store.
I interviewed today first with the store manager and then with the store head of AP and I think it went really well. I'm wondering, though, whether or not I actually want to do this? The hours are perfect for me with my eighteen-credit-hour semester but I worry the job may be outside my area of expertise (which is to say, I don't know how good a security guard a 5'9", 180-lb kid from West O can be).
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Thoughts?
