Dropped From Rankings

Fresno State 21, California 25.

I didn't post the AP rankings, because since they are not part of the BCS equation, what the AP thinks doesn't matter(as it should be).

UCLA cracked the top 25 after beating Tennessee, and then they completely laid a huge goose egg. I don't care if we have a number beside us or not. If we keep improving and are competitive, everything else will take care of itself. I saw progress. Nobody is going to give us a chance against Mizzou and probably KU for that matter. All we need is a turnover or two and the momentum, and the game could be pretty exciting. When the running game is rolling, the offense is rolling. VaTech will be a measuring stick. We actually match up pretty well with them considering their offense doesn't set the world on fire while our D doesn't either. It will be exciting to see whether we can run the ball on them and control the game.

I'll start worrying about our ranking if we beat VT, Mizzou, Texas Tech...etc.

Until then, I just want to see consistent football. Four quarters of all out effort.

It's too early. Even if NU beats VA Tech, NU would be ranked for a week, because Mizzou comes to town.
 Ye of little faith...I hope that I can come back here after the Missouri game and do a post kicking you in the nuts for good measure...but I will hold off until we declaw the mighty Tigers from Mizzou.
