G. McCoy better than Suh

McShay has his top 5 draft prospects for each position ......they are going across the bottom of the screen during Gameday...and he has McCoy #1 and Suh # 2... :dunno what a freaking joke....I just lost some respect for his evaluation process....Suh is the best defensive draft prospect period

:espnsucks: :espnsucks: :espnsucks: :espnsucks:

A lot of these type of things base their evaluations on stats, because they obviously do not have the chance to see all players plays a significant amount of time. In saying that, this fella may have only seen Suh play in the Kansas game last week, which was by far the d's worst effort, and may have seen Mccoy 3or 4 times. Bottom line is, Suh's stats do not fully represent how he completely changes the game, week after week. Pass breakups-blocked kicks-absorbing triple teams play after play, opening it up for every one else on the down four and the backers. Suh's presence alone is enough to change offenses' scheming, not just making plays. There is no other player like that in college football, and honestly, i dont know if there ever has been.

If mcShay is basing that on just the Kansas game he should be fired...he should have looked at tape of every game this year of him...thats his job

Uhm....being #2 out of every college player in the United States isn't exactly a slap in the face.

In draft terms, the player who will be taking every offensive snap tends to have the edge, especially if he's anywhere near as good as advertised. It's definitely a safer pick for management. Though in hindsight the teams that fall in love with a purty quarterback often wish they'd shored up either side of their line instead. McCoy feels like a Matt Leinart to me.

But Suh is generating crazy amounts of heat. More than I've seen a defensive player get in years. So the "disrespect" card doesn't really play.

Mcshay is trying to make a name for himself by going head to head with Kiper, really it all depends on who is drafting. Did anyone before the draft last year think that the Raiders would take a receiver ahead of Crabtree?

Well if you're talking about decision-making that involves any kind of predictibiility or common sense, the Raiders don't count.

1. Please don't bring my Raiders into the discussion, it's just painful

2. Opinion's are like a$$holes, everyone has one, even McShay
