Game 4 Suns @ Lakers

KansasHusker

All-Conference
Guys if you didn't see the last minute in this game you missed out. Lakers down by as many as 6 I think in the 4th and somehow tie it up as the game is going to OT. To narrow it to a 2 point game Smush Parker nails a 3 in front of Nash. Now there is under 8 sec to go and the Suns will inbound when the Lakers will have to foul to send the Suns back to the line for shots then get the ball back...and what happens? The suns inbound wanting to get the ball to Nash as they do, but the ball is tapped loose and the Lakers take it down, give it to Kobe and he makes a crazy layup to tie it with .7 to go...here we are in OT now, so enjoy!

Can you hear that? It is the chant you hear for MVP!...MVP!...MVP!!! Kobe Bryant may have made the voters rethink the MVP decision after this game. Unblelievable that he ties it on such a tough layup at end of regulation...then in OT hits the winning shot as time expires to win it!!! Usually the NBA's Most Valuable Player takes his team somewhere in the playoffs, but I don't see Nash doing that!

Nash could do it and has. Dirk might be a candidate as well.

I think the problem is some people have forgotten/never understood what the MVP award was. It isn't the "I scored the most points" award.

Phoenix's biggest advantage and their biggest pitfall is the 3 point shot. If they don't shoot well, they don't win. They can't rebound and/or play stiff defense.

Well if you have watched the 4 games that have been played in this series at all...it is easy to see Kobe isn't taking near as many shots and it is all team basketball...I don't know if Kobe has even scored 30 points in a single game of this series.

You are right, but the MVP is based on the whole season.

True. We will just have to wait and see if those sources that said early in this series are right about Nash being MVP once again...

If the refs make the call against Walton Kobe's shot doesn't matter. But we all know how the NBA works. Nash was mugged and they call jump ball? LAME!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure Stern an the boys realize that the more games the Lakers play the better the ratings.

It is nice to see Kobe finally listening to Phil though. Just think if he was chubbing for the scoring title they probably could of won more games. It was also nice to see the real Odom show up.

As far as the MVP chant the Heat fans do it for Wade. Cavs fans do it for "King" James and the Mavs for Dirk. They chant is as old as the wave. Let's come up with something new people.

The NBA games are so predictable...thats why it gets old watching them.

MVP chants do occur a lot, true that...but really it doesn't make any sense for Wade because he is the only for sure one that doesn't have a chance IMO...the rest might as well have their crowds do it for them.

If today dosen't prove that DR. JERRY BUSS made the right decision - I don't know what will - I'll take KOBE anyday over shaq - shaq's already folding and they were all arguing with each other + he lost weight and he still get's hurt. KOBE should be the MVP because he dosen't even have a team around him and they still made the playoffs - f#*k nash and dirk - Their team's will fold in the playoffs just like every other year. KOBE KOBE!!!! :restore2
