Barrett Ruud had 15 tackles. He needs about a dozen or so and he's got the all time record here at Nebraska. If the "D" doesn't play this well, we would have lost by 20

 
I'd like to give mine to the Defensive backs. Couple injuries, Huston coming up pretty big, Safties never got beat deep. Good run support. This wil be a common theme throughout the season....

 
I would give my game ball to the entire defense. They played great and continue to impress me each and every game. No one besides (Rudd and maybe J. Bullocks) are All-Americans this year and we are still great. Each player knows his role and goes out and does it.

 
Fabian IS awesome, pro corner. Ruud, if he don't make a tackle it seems like they get a good gain. And Huston as the suprise player so far this year.

 
I agree Bernard, Huston has done a great job so far this season. I think that he will get the most improved player so far.

Huston made some great plays against Kansas. I was pleasantly surprised. I hope he keeps it up because he could definitely be an X factor for the defense.

 
With that being said we need Lornell back. He isn't the greatest but he is bigger and stronger and more experienced at the corner. Grixby didn't look real good this week to me. He's alright at covering but he's not strong enough yet to be a sure tackler.

 
Bernard, do you know if Lornell will be back at 100% next week. I think that we are going to need him. Huston has done a great job of filling in, but I think that we will be sitting in nickel and dime coverage all game against Tech and I would feel better with him out there rather than watching Seigel tackle some guy three seconds before the pass gets there.

I would think he will be back. I'm 80% sure he'll be back. It's hard to tell with these coaches though. they act like they are going to play and then they don't play.
