ganz spread option

i just read that there are going to be 5-6 plays made for ganz to run this weekend. and they are spread option plays. that is interesting.

Well we'll know that Watson will be calling those plays. BC even said when he became coach that he doesn't know anything other than the WCO. :) Go Watson!

And again read where Gray said he wanted to know what was going on and felt very frustrated not knowing what was going to happen with the Huskers coaching staff (had not talked to anyone for a couple of weeks)

I've posted this before but it souds like this staff is deliberately putting recruits off in the most political manner they can. This will not be good for their reputaions concernign future employment. Then again I don't think Callahan thinks far enough ahead to concider this. Look at his last job. Hell he had the dumbest team in football right? (his comment not mine, publicly!) This concept is effected by so many things that it may be to complex for him.

sproption! sproption! sprotion! :woo

:)
Ok, now you're just making up words... ;)
Spread offenses have seen a rise in popularity over the last decade or so at the collegiate and high school level. Various philosophies have risen within the spread concept itself, and as popular as the spread has become, it still has it's detractors. Here, we present an in-depth look at the spread and making the zone-read that has been the bread-n-butter of the "sproption" offense for years now.

Does anyone think that the plays for JG is actually going to produce anything against Texas? <_< For example, look at the LSU game against Kentucky last week. They would occasionally take out Flynn and put in their back up Perrilloux and he would go NOWHERE because they knew he would only run! My guess would be that Texas would pick up on JG coming in and prepare for the option. Thoughts? :confucius

I'm totally convinced that BC has an inflexible NFL attitude - my quote - "we only have one QB and we will stay with him".

The idea of rotating QB's or even substituting QB's if one is failing just isn't "pro" thinking. The only way Ganz will see any action is if Keller is injured or if someone gives Cally an "offer he can't refuse".

Not really sure where you're going with this, but I'm well aware of what he meant. Just never heard it called "sproption" before...
