German Chocolate Cake Frosting

This beats any kind of canned frosting...I don't do canned frosting..yuk

Frost on a German Chocolate Cake:

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

1 cup evaporated milk

3 egg yolks

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup chopped nuts-I like pecans

1 cup coconut

1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, evaporated milk, egg yolks and butter. Spray saucepan with Pam; add the sugar mixture; boil for 12 minutes; CONSTANTLY KEEP STIRRING. Take off burner and add chopped nuts, coconut and vanilla. Stir till well combined. Spread icing over a German Chocolate Cake. **Spray whatever you use to spread the icing-with non-stick cooking spray.
