This is just a projection, but say we finish 12-1 (big12 champs) but not in top 2 of the bcs standings. That would mean that we head to the Fiesta Bowl, and play none other than PITTSBURGH (WOOOOO!!!! <--- :sarcasm )

From what I understand the Fiesta Bowl gets the last pick of the at large spots, and the Big East Champ is not affiliated with a certain bowl like the big12 (fiesta) or SEC (sugar)...since Pitt will, at best, finish 9-3....how un-fun is THAT matchup. Nebraska vs Pittsburgh. YUCK!!!!

I don't give a crap how bad anyone wants to stick it to pederson....its not enough for me to even want to watch, that game would be over in the 1st qtr.

 
I'll take it. My hope coming into this season was to make a BCS bowl at the very least. That goal is still attainable at this point.

I love the fact we would be there, just the fact that it would be Pittsburgh makes me want to puke.

Pitt was BEATEN by NOTRE DAME!

Personally, I'd rather play Boise or TCU instead of Pitt.

TCU travels poorly so it's possible they could fall to the Fiesta if they don't make the championship game, but I don't think Pitt travels that well either, so a bowl is more likely to want the unbeaten team. Same with Boise.

 
Lets be careful what we wish for these days. We can't seem to keep our offense moving in the right direction each week, and we would have to match them score for score. Would be a bad thing for us if we lost, just like it was for OK....

However, the Fiesta Bowl would be great for me, since I live 10 minutes for the stadium.

 
when you look at where we were before Pelini, this year already has me happy. How many years has it been since we were ranked this high? I would be estatic to go away with the Big XXII championship, no matter where we end up in the national polls or bowl game.

And even though next year may be a tougher year in the Big Ten we have some amazing depth with our freshman and sophmores and what looks like a pretty good group of recruits coming in. Considering the past ten years,

I am very happy.

I like making a splash in bowl season, and the non-AQ's are the ticket to the hype train.
