I'm pretty bummed about the girls losing, but I can't help but think we went further than we should have this year. Conference championship game, NCAA #6 seed - that's pretty damned good for a team half of which is made up of girls playing their first D1 season. The future is very bright. No matter how disappointing this is.

I gotta correct myself. Connie said, and I knew this but spaced it, that although we had a dozen girls on the roster this year, only ten played meaningful minutes all year.

That means that 60% of our roster were Freshmen or Redshirt Freshmen, playing their first D1 seasons.

My God. Look out in a year or so, Big Ten. Don't say we didn't warn you.
