Oh I never lived there, just always went there for that Bar. Cuz, THAT WAS THE BAR! My g/f's and I would go about once a month up there from 95 to 98, when I moved to Illinois. I came back a couple of times after that. Oh boy we had some times there.

You are so right. I grew up in Sioux City in the Mid 50ies through the 60ies. and we just do't have winters like those any more. I've been in SF since '79 and have had maybe 5 real winters. Evberything else is just cold and a pain in the arse. Ever get down this way? What do you do?

I'm a firefighter. No I haven't been back to SD in years.

My parents still live in Spearfish, but I just can't seem to ever get back down.

I use my vacation time for hunting instead. :)

Can't say you are missing much by not coming to SD for years. What's it like to fight fires in Alaska. I once saw a Fire Fighter in Omaha, standing at the top of his ladder, shootin' water thru the window of a building. Naturally a lot of spray was bouncing off the building and faqlling back on the Fire Fighter. It was mid-January and I've never seen anything that looked so cold in all my life. They couldn't have been paying this guy enough.
