Well im gonna get to watch the whole game tonight. My wife has been in the hospital since wednesday with a migrane. Its so severe that morphine, oxycontin, or vicodin cant even touch it. We thought she would be better in time for the party but it looks like thats not gonna happen. Oh well GBR at least i can watch the game with my kids.

Damn! Migrains can be viscous. Had my first when I was like 23, had no idea what it was, thought I was dying! Wasn't till I started dry heaving on day 3 that I had to go to Dr.

If you've never experienced a severe migraine you just can't believe how painful they can be. All the best to your wife, I sincerely hope they can find some relief for her. :(

 
That's something, if that array of opiates can't touch it. I'm in the drug development business and if Morphine can't get to it, you are in trouble. Sorry to hear it bud.

Not sure if this will help but here is what I've found through the years about Migranes. Old Girl Friend use to get them for 3 days (throwing up, seeing stars, in bed for days) she Said she hasn't had them in awhile and they started up again. (Now I've lived with headaches all my life and I believe its something you eat most of the time that triggers them!) So I asked what has changed, she looked at the calendar, and went over anything new that she ate. And we finally figured it out, She started on the pill after meeting me and as soon as she got off them they went away!!!

Now for my Migranes and alot of dull headaches, I went to see a doctor and told him I need to be tested to figure out why I get headaches. He pretty much told me I had to figure it out myself! Man was I pissed when I walked out of there! I kept getting them, so after everytime I would get a dull headache or Migrane I would write down what I ate! And since I was a bachelor I ate alot of Box food, So every time I would get a headache I would throw the box in the drawer. Well after a month I pulled out the boxes and found that they all had one thing in common, MSG (monosodium glutamate, which is a preservative) OMFG Finally figured it out!! No more thoughts of putting a screwdriver through my temple!!!!

I don't know if I'm lucky or not. :dunno

I know exactly why I get mine, I got hit above the left temple with a 20 pound sledgehammer and it shattered my skull. Doc said that 10 outta 10 times you die from a hit like that...........I didn't, so now I take pain killers and Advil by the handful on a daily basis. Sometimes life is great!!!! :sarcasm

 
hope you watch it in a different room 'cause it's gonna get worst with all the yelling you'll be doing...anyway hope she get's better

 
I'm lucky I've never had one. I hope your wife gets to feeling better Ben, take good care of her - tonight's just a football game afterall.

And Iceman you are far more organized and analyitical than I could ever hope to be!

 
Thank you to all who wrote in your advise and concern. She got home from the hospital with a buttload of meds to take but shes home and relaxing. Shes sad nerbraska lost but is glad she didnt hear me screamin at the Tv.
