Gotta love this attitude

Below is the quote (conversation exchange) between Enunwa and Bo after Quincy laid out the 275 DE who had intercepted a pass by Martinez.

So it's up to Pelini to adjust. To find playmakers. He'll consider just about anyone — except Quincy Enunwa.

Enunwa, known for his physicality as a receiver, had the game's biggest hit just before halftime. After UCLA's Datone Jones intercepted Taylor Martinez — officials later ruled that Martinez's knee was down — Enunwa flattened the 275-pound defensive end.

Enunwa went to the sideline and — in jest — made a suggestion to Pelini. Let me play defense, he said. Bo's response?

“He kind of gave me a glare.”

That is the kind of attitude we need and Bo needs to find.

This Alonzo Whaley quote represents the defensive mood:

“I'm struggling right now with having to fix something you work on when you first start playing football. It hurts to say my tackling is bad. ... I'm a linebacker. That's just something I should be able to do in my sleep.”
Yes, by the time you reach the college level of play, you should be lable to tackle in your sleep. That is why you get recruited at this level. So, Alonzo, get your LB rear end in gear and tackle.

It's not only the players. Bo was still sick about that game on Monday. I'm sure he expected more from his guys and I know that they expected to play better! I'm sure it's really hard when you work and work and work then the game comes and the work doesn't pay off. Here is an interview from WOWT.COM. I feel badly for all of them. I'm really hoping they beat the crap out of Arkansas St. (no offense to Arkansas St.) and then Idaho and then really do well in conference play. I would really hate to lose Bo.

Enunwa really has a good presence of mind on the field. He shares that with Lavonte David. Both could devise a plan while running towards the play on how they were going to change the outcome of it. I think the best examples would be Enunwa knocking the ball loose on an interception return and Lavonte David deciding to tackle a runner high on the goal line so he couldn't lean across it.

Oh, and both of them are tougher than nails, that helps as well.

After rewatching the first half, I am just sick. It is literally amazing how many times we had a player in position to make the play and he just didn't finish.

If we simply tackle in the first half, the game isn't even close at half time. The entire game is different.

I'd like to see him get a chance on D, It would be hard for him to play worse than anybody else.

As they just pointed out on the radio, we already have way too many DBs on the roster the way it is. We don't need another one and we need him on offense.
