“That’s the way so many walk-ons are,” Osborne said. “They all learned early in college not to expect anything in return, even though they worked every bit as hard, if not harder, than our scholarship players. Sometimes, the most generous people we deal with are the walk-ons who have come up the hard way, and Ken certainly exemplifies that.”

Total kick a$$ blog about walk on program and Mr. Graeber's gift.

That you so much for that uplifting story. Appreciate the walk on program and the history it has.

It's getting tougher and tougher to get those walk ons because of the Internet.

Video is so easy to get posted to be seen by so many people so fast that more kids are able to get offers that never would have before.

Looks like he's got a son who might be a decent player :)

The early 80s teams are most dear to me, so it's awesome to see some of their kids coming through now.

A son that 20 years ago would have been a for sure walk on if he didn't get a scholly from unl. Now there is a decent chance Ohio on Colorado st something like that could come in with an offer.

Tuition costs. It use to be kids would turn down a scholarship to KSU or ISU to walkon at NU. A kid ahead of me in high school did exactly that. Hard to turn down a full ride from anyone now.
