Great Calendar Idea

Anyone else searching for anything to read??? This might keep us busy!

Just read zE bOp's (in the Big Red Lounge) disappointment in his Calendar he got for Christmas and came up with Calendar Idea.

What if we make our own, just use a calendar program pick out 12 pictures plus the cover and I can throw it together and share it up! (We couldn't get in trouble could we? Just sharing a document among friends!) These pics will need to be higher resolution then most web pick though!

IDEAS:

1. Everyone can submit their favorite photos and we can vote on one for each month!

2. Vote on the cover

3. Put the complete roster on the back and 2009 schedule.

4. Pick ideas (just a start)

  • Gantz catching the ball in the end zone!
  • Suh running over Cody Hawkins or that one awesome end zone pic!
  • Alex Henery's Kick
5. Mark each event on the calendar- like Spring practice start date, Spring Red/White Game

6. Maybe a drop down sheet for the back sheet, for the schedule and boxes to mark the (W) :) and times.

Note: I'm pretty good at graphics but if there is anyone that does it for a living I would turn it over!

Note2: Maybe we can get the Mods/Admins to help out with the voting layout!

I want hot shower pics...oh come on...there are Husker girls too ya know...although I can not think of a hottie Husker at the moment, oh wait Helu Jr comes to mind, Ganz isn't so bad... But don't forget us Husker girls in all this.

Or Tommy's tutor Natalie now a med center student?

Both deserve a 'month' on any Big Red Calendar...

Second thing I thought of was the Daily Skin department....After remembering my Son almost talking me into getting a half-priced callender at Petsmart tonight for my Ex-Wife that had cute (butt ugly) kittens on them...He even made that girly awwwhhh noise when he saw it.

if someone can help me out here, i got the 'bo mad, staring down thorell coming off the field' pic as my background, but never saved it. (maybe someone more computer literate than me can tell me how to save it as a file, its still my background) that would make an awesome calender pic. i remember someone, at least i think it was on this board, saying how it looked like the "N" on Bo's hat looked like it didnt even want to be there. and its funny cause its true.

Right click on the pic and then left click 'Save as' in the pop up menu. Your pic folders should pop up. Left click on the bottom where it says, 'save as', wait a second and you're golden.

Actually, that didnt seem to work when I tried it. Maybe when you right click on the pic you can save in it, 'new folder'. Otherwise, I dunno, sry...

The method varies depending on the operating system, so the following instructions are designed to let you find it under any of the various versions of Windows.

1. Go to your desktop and right click.

2. Select Properties from your pop-up menu.

3. Click the Desktop tab.

4. Note the name of the hightlighted item - that should be your background. Odds are, it's called something like "Internet Explorer Wallpaper" or something similar. Write that down, then close the window.

5. Now, open up Windows Explorer (the file browser, not Internet Explorer, the web browser). Right click on the C: drive, and then left click on the Search option. Enter the name of the file exactly as it was found in the Desktop tab. The Search function should locate it in the right hand pane.

6. Right click the file once it is found, and click Copy. Go to your Pictures folder and right click and select Paste.

7. My guess is that it will be saved as a bitmap (.bmp) file. If so, you probably want to save it as a PNG file, or at least a JPG file. To do that, open the file in a photo editing program (not MS Paint). Click File - Save As, and save it with a name you will remember as a PNG (preferred) or JPG. That way, you now have the picture in your Pictures folder, and will still have the original.
