Great Story

Five-Star Recruit
I haven't been to a husker game since I was 5 years old and I am now 18 years old, soon to be 19 (living in Barnsdall, OK), and have been thinking really hard about making a trip to Lincoln this year, particualarly for the Va. Tech game. So, I have been scouting stubhub and ebay for cheap tickets and the cheapest I found were about $145 a pop...not too bad considering the magnitude of the game and how bad I want to go. Tonight in psychology, I'm talking to my Cornhusker friend about last weeks game and how we thought at first it was going to be like ball state and what not and we somehow get to talking about Va. Tech...So, I explain to him my dilemma about the tickets and how I am really thinking about getting them, even though they are pretty expensive. He tells me that his family has season tickets and he can probably help me out..I ask him how much and he tells me 50 bucks!!!! I am really stoked, and cant wait to hear 83k fans screaming at the top of their lungs!! Just thought I would share! GBR!

P.S. I did a little recruiting and told my buddy about huskerboard

Thats great. I hope you actually get here and can be a part of the action that day. I am biased but think that the atmosphere in Lincoln is better than anywhere else in college football. Have a great time and make sure to make some noise that day!!!

Great story! You, your buddy and your buddies family are what Husker football is all about. You're willing to shell out the extra $ money to see your team play and your buddy and his family are willing to help out a fellow Husker fan. That's the kind of stuff that make me proud to be a Husker! GBR

I need better friends....
Not necessarily better friends.....just friends with season tickets. Oh, and have fun....I got work off on Friday and am planning on heading to Lincoln Thursday already to hit up the bars and see some friends.

Any suggestions of things to see, or places to go? Just any thoughts would be appreciated...its been a LONG time since I've been to Lincoln.
