Greg Maddux traded

A decent pick up for the Dodgers, but they lose Izturis and pick up Julio Lugo for a real stud prospect. I think Izturis was as good or better than Furcal at SS. I think Izturis was unwilling to play 2nd which is why he was traded.

 
i wish that he would of been traded to the Braves. They might not make the playoffs, but I think he deserves to end his career in a Braves uniform if not a Cubs uniform.

 
One of the greatest pitchers of this generation, and he relied more on finesse than power. With all the steroid talk around baseball, it was good to see Maddux still win 15 games a year for all those years.

Good pitcher in his day!!! I remember when he started his career with the Cubs. I was pretty little but I can remember my parents talking about how stupid it was for the Cubs to trade him to the Braves!!!

Cubs didn't trade him, they didn't resign him.

The west is very weak this year(it has been weak for a while) and the Dodgers think by making a couple moves they can steal it. I don't think any teams in the National League(with the exception of possibly the Mets) are very good this season, so the pennant is there for the taking. The 3 teams in the AL central are better than every team in the National League.

 
I hate the Yankees, but did you see that slide by A-Rod tonight. Holy crap. He went in with one hand, then put the other hand around the glove to be safe. It was awesome. But they still suck. Go SOX!! Red Sox that is!!
