“I lost my breath going off the field. The celebrating and jumping on me about killed me,” Grixby said, smiling. “I told them, ‘I’m only about 170 pounds. Leave me alone.’

I'm really happy for this kid! His TD return is what sparked our success IMO. The players were fired up and the fans were fired up!!

wow....that was a very good return especially for a 170 lb guy he broke quite a few tackles. too bad jone didnt run back his punt? return. all he needed to do was cut right instead of left and he would have been gone. but wow they both had good return days.

This guy is easily one of my favorite players on the team. Look at all the ridicule he's taken and all the negative comments he's probably heard, and now see what he's doing for us on the field. Granted, he's still not the greatest we've ever had, and he does make mistakes, but this guy gives his all to the team.

Hats off to you, Grix :)

The guy has tremendous heart and I love how he has played this season. He answered the call and really stepped up this season. He is probably our best tackler on defense this year. I knew it was only a matter of time before he broke one considering he was sooooo close so many times this season. Right before they kicked the ball off I told my dad to watch him because this would be the perfect game for him to break one and he did. Great job Grix!!!! :thumbs

Props to Grix, he's had a tough career here and been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism, but no one can deny his heart and determination, it was so nice to see him go out like that. I wish him the best!

Great run. Ignited the team and got the crowd into the game. The focus became what can this team do today instead of what will happen after CU.

That was a perfect time for Grix to have one of the most impressive plays in his time at Nebraska. My hats off to him for everything he has been through throughout his career.

No, actually what the three or four blockers around him had to do was peel back and hit somebody instead of allowing possible tacklers to catch up to him. If when he broke into the clear, the guys in red around him would have stopped and hit someone in purple he would have scored. Instead they ran along side him until K-Staters caught up and then it was too late. That and the fact that we have had guys in position to block punts run past the punter instead of hitting him, lead me to believe we have poor coaching on special teams too! I say when BC and staff deplane after the CU game, we "off" them Columbia soccer team style. Firing them is too good for them. Also, anyone who does not agree with me should be dealt with quickly and severely! FU! and I don't mean the Gators. :woo
