Harrison Beck Blog

I know this isn't the best time, but it's going to be nice to have this kid competing next year. He has cannon. Someone who can rifle those 10 yard outs in there. Dailey simply doesn't have that arm strength. But that doesn't mean he can't win games, just have to find other ways.

No matter hop good this kid is suppose to be, he is going to have the same problems next year as any first year QB will have.

Now that I think about, what player can any of you think of that has had a great freshman year in college football at quarterback?Or a young first year starter

This is going to be our own little Beck Blog thing.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Beck caught a throwback pass from his running back and rambled for a touchdown as Clearwater (Fla.) Countryside defeated Clearwater High 31-7 last weekend.

"I ran a few kids over, so that was pretty fun," said Beck, who completed 11 of 14 passes for 180 yards. :D

Beck, who gave Nebraska his oral commitment in June, has watched both of the Huskers' games this season, a win against Division I-AA Western Illinois and a loss to Southern Mississippi.

Omaha World Herald,

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound high school senior threw for 2,300 yards and 21 touchdowns in a similar system at Countryside High School last season. He connected on 11 of 14 passes for 173 yards and one score in his team's 31-7 win to open the season against rival Clearwater High. He also caught a touchdown pass.

"I want Nebraska to win," Beck said. "I'm always going to want that. If I'm there at school and he's playing ahead of me, I'm definitely going to be rooting for him. I would hope if I ever get the chance to play when he's there, that he would want me to do well.

"It's all part of being on a team and working to win the championship."

Is he considering coming in a semester early , like Dukes did??
I doubt it. Let the kid go to his HS prom. College can wait.. plus how many more times can you "legally" date a 17-18 yr old chick??? oopps did I write that out loud?? doh! :o
