Ok I am going to admit that I am not the best Husker fan to be in there arguing. I have been watching Husker football since I was 3 years old and at my uncle's knee. I remember so many games from childhood on. I have been, however, a bit stretched out here as the games are not broadcast. I found a Husker group and began joining them at a local bar...
All that said, I have been terrible at keeping any stats, records, or general comparison info in my head. My four brothers could do it - and I have been on the line to them too. I remember the games. I would be much better at discussing plays, or the actual playing.
So I am afraid I have had a hard time of it.
I would invite any of you who felt so inclined: boardofthebored.com
Here are a few excerpts of the thread:
"Big XII is the most overrated conference of all times. Two good teams and a load of crap."
"I'll give NYC the fact that Nebraska is more known for football than UNC is. I think she is crazy if she thinks Nebraska is one of only 3 great football schools. I would think you would have to throw Texas, USC (not the chickens), and Oklahoma in the mix too. If you want to look at dominance in the past 25 years, then you have to look toward the south and mainly the state of Florida."
"In the past, the SEC was the best conference, but now the ACC has taken over, which is what the question was asking. With the ACC expansion, the ACC is clearly the superior conference."
Ah well....
