Helu to break the 1000 yard mark this season.

getting 1000 yds is today is impressive with the pass first mentality of offences that shows the ability to make plays and run the ball for yourself with out the blocking help of 2TE a FB and a huge O line

I don't think it's impressive any more, considering bowl teams get to count 13 or 14 games worth of stats, while in previous decades, teams got 11. Big difference.

Game has changed. 2 decades ago only a couple of guys would sniff 3,000-4,000 yards passing in a season. Now someone hits 5,000 every year. Hell they approach 6,000. You add 500-1000 yards passing to a season...takes away from one main guy's rushing numbers.

Rushing for 1000 yards in a season isn't really all that impressive anymore.
I think with our offensive style it does. Last year Roy only put up roughly 850 yards in the entire season. Granted, he split time a lot more with Lucky and Castille, but for being the lead guy I'm impressed with the fact that he is probably going to get 1200-1300 if he continues to produce like he has. Given his injuries the last few weeks, I'm even more impressed.
