If I recall, Ekeler was promoted off the staff for whatever reason.

He wasn't very good at following recruiting rules. He had a hand in making one of our top targets ineligible and then we couldn't recruit him after he was reinstated by NCAA.

I never heard this before. What happened exactly? I only started following recruiting over the last year or so.
