High Scoring Bowl Games

These games have been rediculous and I am not sure if it is due to the layoff, spread offenses, etc. I remember watching Nebraska, ND under Holtz, OSU, Mich get a 2 score lead in the 3rd quarter then turn the game over to thier offensive line who would wear down the D and chew up 8+ minutes on a drive (See 98 Orange Bowl Neb vs Tenn). I just don't see many teams committing to the offensive line anymore and as a result I see a lot of teams that let their opponent get back into the game with a quick 3 and out.

its like when we played playground football when we were a kid....all recievers, a QB and a 5 elephant count...wait a minute..i guess we invented the spread offense back in the 70's!

Arkansas and K St. are trying to restore faith in bad offenses. It's 19-2 just before the half. K St. has 41 yards of offense. Arkansas has only had to come up with about 110 yds on their three scoring drives.
