History Lesson....

Armistead

Five-Star Recruit
I recall the Loss to Geogia Tech, seems to me that the Huskers had a decent team that year,

The Loss to Washinton at seattle with Mike Grant also comes to mind

The Loss to Colorado in Lincoln was ugly a few years back

we also lost too Miami 37 17 in the rose bowl

So what do all the losses have in common?

Well, all those teams had decent years, none won NU a title and None played very well agin the other team............but what all those schools that beat Nebraska won the National title, so if you want me to jump off a building because the Trojans beat NU in Lincoln then you don't know anything about college football.

The Huskers are better than they played saturday and they will show it in coming weeks, this team will not lose a north division game....and I have seen OSU aTm and UT this year...and I don't see us losing more than one of those games

that put us at 9-2 0r 10-1....either way we goto San Antonio to play OU, win or Lose we will still have posted a 9 win season, a bowl year and we will agin out recruit everyone in the north if not the entire league

BC has the team rolling........when T O was the coach, we were happy with 9 wins seasons, the occassional run at the title and the satisfaction we got from beating the snot outta Mizzou,KSU,KU,ISU,CU.......so lets remember our History

This team is right there with all the other 9 or 10 win Husker teams....is that a bad thing?

No it isnt to me. I am like you. This team can put a good run together and still have plenty to play for. Try to look at the big picture instead of one game.

You're right. But, Our defense played like crap and better do something before the next game.
I can't understand how the LB's can play soo poorly, I know they are Talented. I am goin to just chalk it up to a good team caught the Husker LB's having a bad night.....

Seemed to me that the safeties were the ones out of place most of the night...and that neither group was able to tackle very effectively. That said...Asante seems to be doing a great job of getting to the ball...but MAN...he has got to make those tackles. Green...well..what can you say. He just didn't seem to be himself out there.

I don't agree. All those games you mention are distintcly different than last nights game. None of those games mentioned were played in our backyard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody comes into our backyard and gives us the kind of asspounding we sustained last night. I don't recall ever being manhandled this badly at home and having a successful season.

On the road, we've taken some beatdowns like the ones you mentioned above. However, we were in our backyard playing ball not theirs. We were playing a team that looked less than impressive 2 weeks prior, and they were only playing in their second game of the year. Everyone says it's a lot tougher playing on the road than it is at home hence BC's road record is terrible. But, this game wasn't a road game. We have Memorial Stadium. We had our crowd. We had everything, and USC came in and molested us anyway.

The sad part of all of this is it exposed us as to just how bad we really are. If OU came to town, the game would look very similar to last night. If LSU came to town, the beatdown would be severe. There isn't one team in the Big 12 North that's even ranked or more than likely will be ranked this season. If you are satisfied with beating teams that can't even make the top 25 then I guess I don't know whether I should be happy for you or feel sorry for you. Looking at the schedule, right now I can't even say that we'll win the Big 12 North. Each and every game we play away from home has me scared to death right now. We're still not a good team yet. It appears to me that we're gonna have a similar year to last year and finish middle of the pack and probably unranked at season's end.

Are you going to do the same with the Wake game? Our LB's didn't play any worse than they did last week against Wake. There's obviously scheme problems. The LB's looks as lost as they did in 02' with Bohl on the sideline. I think it's time to send Coz to packing.
