Brady Hoke is an inventor, a genius, a creator. This season at Michigan, he’s going to unveil something you don’t see in college football:

An offense that involves running ... OVER ... people. Or, through them, either way.

“It’s what I believe in,’’ Hoke, in his third year as Michigan’s coach, told me the other day after the final two-a-day practice of the summer. “It’s part of who we are.’’

Was that written by a fan on a message board?

Hoke wants to go back in time, feel free. You don't even see NFL teams trying to 'run over people' anymore. Hell, they have adopted many aspects of 'the spread' which really doesn't mean much by itself anyhow.

I think you have to have these things called "talent" and "skill players" to run people over.

scrubs at wide receiver...edit: Gallon is ok.

tailbacks are either coming off of serious surgery or way overweight....

Qb hasn't beat anyone but Minnesota and lucked out against Northwestern at home....

Al Borges is the OC...

But hey, at least you have Fred Flintstone and have about 14 4* linemen recruits

So I said that Hoke is an innovator, going to an offense that was theoretically going out of style. But the other possibility is that he’s a dinosaur.
He is about the same size as a dinosaur.

Why not....it worked for Wisconsin.....until they met an offense they couldn't shut down.

Now now. I met a couple of Michigan fans when they came to Lincoln last year. They were a nice group, said they really loved Lincoln.
