Holiday in Mississippi

This is freakn hilarious!

Most of us are aware that yesterday, January 17th, was a federal holiday to observe Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday. In Mississippi they celebrate two Birthdays on Jan 17th. This is a jaw draper, listen to the message the Mississippi State Tax Commissioner has on their answering machine to let people know why they are off. You ought to try actually living here in the deep South. In Arkansas, the rednecks became so overwhelmed at the thought of their beloved Robert E. Lee not being "celebrated" that they did the same thing - created a state holiday for both King and Lee for the same day. Weird...
