Hotels in lincoln

I just bought some tix to the A&M game and I was wondering what hotels in Lincoln are the best for game weeks. Money is the main thing (i'm a broke a$$ who just graduated from college) but I'd be willing to pay a little more if it's close to the stadium or the bars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which is not too far from Memorial and other bars. The price is a bit high, but not as high as the Cornhusker. You have to pay for parking as well....it is like $10 a day I believe.

Just as a point of reference. The Holiday Inn is on O Street near the stadium and the Holiday Inn Express is on Cornhusker Highway. That is a bit of a difference.

Thanks for update....obviously I am not from Lincoln.....

Stay downtown so you don't have to drive in and out from the game. That is the ultimate pain in the a$$.

The Holiday Inn is probably the cheapest option. There is also an Embassy Suites and the Cornhusker if you are willing to sell an organ before your trip. There aren't many hotels downtown, come to think of it.

I think I'm going to need a hotel for the KSUcks game as I'm not going to be able to stay with my wife's family for that game. The ISUcks game I'm good for.....................I'm going to get on ebay now and see about tickets for the USC game. Good thread I was just going to start one. :thumbs

dont forget to buy me 2 tickets to the USC game also

Yea right now i've got something set up for A&M and I'm also heading to Lawrence for the KU game. I"m hoping to add the USC game to complete the package, but I'm waiting for my ticket -broker uncle to come through with a pair of USC tickets......that would be one NU game each month, which is my goal every season.

Do you have KU tickets in hand already? Their website says tickets don't go on sale until August 3.

No, not yet but due to the fact the game isn't until November 3rd, I'm banking on KU being in the tank by then, making it easier to buy tix from scalpers outside the stadium. Not the safest strategy, but it's worked for me in the past in Ames and other places.
