How Can the defense stop OK State?

Q. How can the defense stop OK State?

A. Defend them. Go back to the 3-4. Use two arms to tackle instead of one. Fill in the gaps & lanes instead of read and react (this group is too slow for that). D-line needs to get leverage and win the line of scrimage battle. If they cant sack the QB, get a hand up and knock the ball down. Corners need to be on top of the recievers, not 8-10 yards off the ball. Safeties need to fly to the ball, whether it's a pass or run. Man up, have some guts, make a play, make a tackle. Swarm the ball. Attack. And do it every down. It's not brain surgery. Its defense.

IMO, if the defense is to go down they might as well do it in a blaze of glory. Go back to the 4-3 and blitz every single play. Blitz the safeties once in a while. Do anything to get some pressure applied. The reason the D gets picked apart is because the opposing QB has all the time in the world. Crash the ends, blitz the LB's, and throw everything but the kitchen sink at them.

The sad part is a blind old lady could figure out when Nebraska going to blitz, they show their blitz way to fast to be any effective. Then the one time they had a delayed corner blitz I could have sworn that the quaterback was standing behind the line of scrimage for two minutes before the corner started blitzing.

It would seem that most of you have already given up hope for any sort of winning season. I love the spirit! :sarcasm
