how did asante look?

It seems kind of strange... to have so many of the # 1 teamers play on the red team, and then the white team be as it was. I agree with the WRs - they are at a disadvantage.

Asante needs to learn the defense better (which is why it is such a plus that he was here for spring). It's obvious he is physically better than any safety we've had in a long time, just needs to get the mental part down. Good thing is there is a whole summer and 30 practices before the first game.

You couldn't really gather much from what you wanted to know about Asante. The few times the backups took a shot down field, the balls were mainly overthrown. So his abilities in pass coverage were not really tested.

The good though, Asante would still punish the WR for even trying to make a play on the ball. That is a GREAT thing to see from your SS. You do that once or twice and that WR will likely alligator arm the next one anticipating that hit.

Asante and Green were rotating at Strong Safety and Bryan Wilson played a ton at Free Safety. This is different than what was said all spring. Maybe Asante is having problems adapting. Wilson played pretty well though, which maybe was the reason for the change.
