How did we lose?

I know that I will get a few OBVIOUS responses to this question...but after watching Miami/Virginia Tech last night....I can only sit in amazement that we lost that game.....

Both teams looked less than spectacular in a very HO HUM Conference...

And after seeing Miami's stadium half empty...... makes a few hundred empty student seats not seem so bad at all!

GO BIG RED! KILL THOSE CATS!

Stupid penalties is the only reason..........................if we would've won that game and the TT game we would be 8-2 right now and tied with Missery for the North.

 
We cant shoulda, coulda, woulda our way to 8-2. We are 6-4 because we didnt play games clean enough. Things will get better the more time Bo has and those close games will soon be going our way. We are showing vast improvement from last season. Last season we had no games that we "almost" won. We are taking a step in the right direction.

 
VT is no slouch, either is Miami, they are both young and very athletic teams. They both will back up there very soon. Of course I hope we get there first <_<

 
People worry about empty seats in Lincoln. How about that 1/4 full stadium last night at the Orange Bowl?!?!

I'll tell you how we lost it: This was the first legit team we played since the Callahan debacle and our kids' brains were still numb. Didn't know how to win and are in fact still learning.

You don't shake the loser mentality overnight.

I din't watch it - had some cash on the Jets - but heard it was pathetic. I thought they moved to Dolphin Stadium?

They only play the Fed Ex Orange Bowl there. Miami still plays home games in the original Orange Bowl. At least I think?!?!

Its gone, they showed the big empty space during the game of the where the stadium was

I agree with BuzzardBilly - we started slow and IMHO didn't gain confidence until the second half when we started putting it to them and took VT to the wire.

 
You're right. I saw a couple shots of a shoddy-looking balcony with rusty beams and thought it was the old Orange Bowl. Looks like Dolphin Stadium could use some fresh paint!

Yes. And well...so do a bunch of grey seats amongst 80,000 red shirts and coats. I'm just sayin'...careful what you 'take pride' in seeing.
