How do we stop the USC offense?

Heading into the Holiday Bowl against Nebraska on Saturday night, the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder has rushed for 1,337 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Allen still has a shot at winning the Pac-12 rushing title, something a Southern Cal tailback hasn’t done since Ricky Ervins in 1989.
It has worked out the way Allen had hoped after Steve Sarkisian took over as head coach, even as Cody Kessler has passed for 3,505 yards and 36 touchdowns and Nelson Agholor has racked up 97 receptions in the Trojan offense

Nice combo

yup, we are screwed, they have gotten better as the season wore on, we have arguably gotten worse......that is the trend that really got Pelini fired.

But do you think Papuchis feels a little less on his shoulders for this game. He could really see this as an audition for another job and show a future employer what he can do on his own.

yup, hope you are correct, this is his chance to show what he has learned under Pelini.......but USC has some great players and speed, they will be hard to handle.

I'm not real sure we are going to be able to stop them completely. I'd say hope to hold them in the 21-31 point range and hope our offense scores enough. Maybe Beck will remember for this game that he's got Abdullah and actually give him the amount of carries he deserves. I'd say if we get to 35 we win the game.

Maybe slash the tires on the bus they come over on? OOOH maybe we could pull a Miami trick and call them at all hours of night the night before to make them tired.

Seriously though, the best bet is to keep them on the side lines by using long continued drives using the run game and play action.

they will stack the box to stop Ameer......TA will need to bring his A game for us to have a chance......we can't win in a shoot out.

Ill lay 5-1 that Mitchell gets beat on the corner 3 times for 20+, even after getting hammered against Wisconsin and Minnesota.. looks like Gerry will have to step up and cover him again.

I'm more worried about our O-Line vs. their D-Line. Remember how much trouble Iowa's Carl Davis gave us? Well Leonard Williams is better.
