How It Was: Osborne on the Option

Wwwwwwww...ow!!!

Over the remainder of Osborne’s career, Nebraska would lead the nation in rushing 10 more times and would average less than 300 yards (291.9) only once, in 1996. The Huskers also would rank lower than third nationally in rushing only once, also in 1996.

Something tells me TO's blocking schemes were a little more fine-tuned than ours...

who is the lineman in the right middle of the photo who is clearly beat and looks like he running behind him to tackle the gu? the guy next to him looks rather "small" so i am assuming that might be the fullback who couldn't hold his block.

I'm thinking it's Caputo and ARod.

i know it's just one picture taken at a specific point in time, and i realize that even the best get beat some of the time, but the picture certainly captures in glaring detail what many people on this board have been writing regarding these two players' performances, thus far.

Does anyone have pic of that play during the bowl game where our entire oline was pancaked by three dlinemen? That was the most pathetic play I've ever seen.

Well there was also the play where Yoshi doubled the DT instead of blocking the DE and he ran by for a sack. I don't know if Yoshi got the play wrong or just had a mental breakdown because it was clearly a pass play and there was no fancy blitzing...

Wasn't the entire line, just the interior line. Jones got his man blocked and Sirles had a good block also

With Yoshi on the left side that's where you've got the best player right now on the offensive line other than Caputo, imho. Even Sirles seems to be having his issues this year.

Dang, I remember that play. Unfortunately. Nothing like losing a four-on-one battle.
