Husker Clone Team

Kenny Bell, you know he can knock a mother fu&*#r out, and has better passing skills than Bo if you saw the spring game. Bo was a high school quarterback btw.

I guess I want to know is the team of clones playing another clone team or are they playing this years schedule of teams?

If your clones are playing real teams, your going to need some sound blockers with size to even have a chance. I don't foresee Scott Frost or Eric Crouch doing anything to stop another team's d-line.

If your clones are playing other clones, i can see the benefit of just being athletic and trying to outrun the other clone team.
If we play a real team and our clone player is a lineman we aren't going to gain any yards and they will pass it over the top of us every single play. I'd take Scott Frost on the offensive line before I'd take Will Shields at quarterback or trying to defend a wide receiver.
You think a receiver would get off the line against Suh? You would get exactly half a second to throw the ball and not have a Suh lineman intercept the pass. Plus, Suh can catch and run. He did play a little fullback back in the day.
Frost or Crouch would not be able to slow a pass rush or be able to move the d-line to run.

I'm thinking Suh, but the tidbit about Carriker's passing is a good one.

I remember thinking about this once when I saw Jorvorskie Lane (A&M) play in a Texas high school playoff game. He was a battering ram of a RB, about 260 pounds and a 4.5 40, and they would line him up as the shotgun QB and spread everyone else out and he would mostly just bang into the line. Every once in awhile he'd throw to keep the defense honest, and I saw him throw a beautiful 25 yard out in the end zone and wondered what a team full of Lanes would be like. Turns out his receiver was a young Dez Bryant, but it was still a great throw with touch.

Rex Burkhead.

I think it was Carl who used to talk about how good of a safety Rex would have made. Also, he can play QB, kick, punt, and of course run, block, and catch.

Does it have to be players, or can you clone husker fans from naturally strong families?

I think an argument could be made for a team of small fast players like Crouch, because they would have speed all over the place. But I would hate to see them try to take on a team of Suhs or Carrikers. But Crouch could lay a hit down on some smaller type players outside of 260 lb and up players.
